Support Pixie’s Pen Pals

 

Community, diversity, and empathy is at the heart of the Pen Pals program, and that extends to our wonderful supporters!

There are plenty of ways to help… Every bit of support is incredibly valuable to the success of the program.

Volunteer & Foster

Our volunteers are crucial! We especially need folks who can temporarily open their home and care for a Pen Pals pup, whether that be a week to help them transition from shelter to prison to a couple nights while they attend an adoption fair.

Can’t bring a foster dog into your home? We get it! There are plenty of other opportunities to assist Pen Pals by bringing dogs to vet visits, transporting pet supplies to the prisons, or showing a dog off at an event.

Give

We always need supplies! Some common items we use include…

• Peanut Butter (16 oz jars max)
• Crates and Bedding
• Toys
• Puzzle Toys
• Training Treats
• Bully Sticks and Long-Last Chews
• Leashes, Harnesses, and Collars
• Event-Fair Bandanas, T-Shirts, and Leash Sleeves
• Non-Prescription Medications and Supplements (Sealed, 60 count max)
  • Benadryl/Diphenhydramine
  • Pepcid/Famotidine
  • Aspirin
  • Glucosamine
  • Fish oil capsules
  • Shampoo
  • Heartgard, Nexguard, Frontline (6 count max)

Our Amazon Wishlist has some specific supplies we like to use, but we gladly accept other new or gently used donations! Please drop off or ship to the FETCH office during business hours.

Of course, monetary donations are always put to good use covering veterinary bills and other costs of care!
