Nieva is a love bug looking for a companion and a safe and cozy place to stay until her forever family comes along. Nieva has done well with some dogs and cats (although some scare her!) but would prefer to be in a home without young children. If you're thinking you may be ready to foster this girl OR are looking to become a short-term foster with Pixie's Pen Pals, our foster training TONIGHT is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills. Our dog trainer and Pen Pals coordinator will get you up to speed on the ins and outs of being a soft place to land when we pull dogs from local shelters ahead of being placed in correctional facilities.

"Weekend at Bernie's" Mother's Day Pop-Up Bakery Pre-Orders are OPEN NOW! 5% of all sales will be donated to FETCH a Cure, so this mother's day, treat your mom and local pets at the same time!

@bernardsbakery spotlights CIC grant recipient, Bernard (aka Bernie) and has been such a creative way to support this pup and has hosted generous givebacks to FETCH a Cure since it's inception. Earlier this year, Bernie's mom discovered a lump on his neck that, after being removed in a parathryoidectomy, was diagnosed as thyroid carcinoma. He's since begun six months of chemotherapy treatment that we're hopeful beats his cancer and gives him many more years with his people! It's evident that this guy really is beloved in his community as his mom says Bernie is often described as “everyone’s best friend."

We have to give special shout-out to the incredible @martina_rva and her Pixie’s Pen Pals alum, Neptune, who unveiled their mural by the insanely talented @thenightowl at @rivercityroll this past weekend. Neptune was the life of the party at his reveal and his wonderful community rallied around him on Tommie's Patio on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

Neptune is joining a gallery of show-stopping FETCH a Cure pet murals on the wall of River City Roll that, along with the @barwest.804 group mural, have raised over $42,000 to support our mission. The continued support of River City Roll and Bar West have made a huge positive impact on our ability to continue spreading awareness, education, and providing support to our community and we’re eternally grateful. Want to see your pet immortalized in a Richmond mural? River City Roll and Bar West will return as presenting sponsors of the 17th Annual Pets on Parade this November 7, 2025, at Main Street Station.
