Losing a pet is never easy, and coping with the loss of a beloved companion can be very difficult. FETCH a Cure wants pet owners in our community to have the resources they need to deal with the loss of a pet and work through the understandable grief. That’s why every month, we will hold a Pet Loss Support Group for families facing the loss of a furry family member.
Led by an experienced psychologist, Dr. Leslie Greenberg, families are invited to attend these monthly sessions to help work through the pain of losing a pet. These hour-long sessions will be held at the FETCH headquarters, 5711 Staples Mill Road, Suite 101, Richmond, VA 23228 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. All family members, including children, are invited to attend this complimentary Pet Loss Support Group. You may RSVP for each monthly session by calling 804-525-2193. RSVP is not required, but is appreciated.
Dr. Greenberg served on the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She earned her doctorate at the University of Georgia, master’s at Columbia University, and undergraduate degree at Emory University. She completed her internship at Brown University School of Medicine. Fellowships were completed at Boston University School of Medicine and New York University Medical Center. She lives in Richmond with her husband and their two rescue Cavalier King Charles dogs.
All sessions will be held during the evening, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, at 5711 Staples Mill Road, Suite 101, Richmond, VA 23228.
