Want to work with Pen Pals pups? You have plenty of opportunities to help, whether it be driving a dog to the vet, showing her off at an adoption fair, or helping us understand her personality as an Evaluation Foster!
Our FREE interactive workshop with licensed dog behaviorist Kasey Herrera, Pen Pals head trainer & owner of 2Speak Dog, will go over techniques for walking on a leash, navigating various public settings and situations, loading dogs into a car or van, and more.
This Level 1 Training Session is required for all volunteers.
We require each participant to complete our volunteer application and commit to volunteering with Pen Pals. If you plan to fill this out at the FETCH office prior to the session, please arrive 15 minutes early.
Meet on the 3rd floor of the FETCH a Cure office. Use the elevator entrance nearest the parking lot. We will be working both inside and outdoors.
Bring your whole family! Children are welcome.
While you will certainly learn how to apply Kasey’s training & behavior cues in your own home, please leave your dog at home! Kasey will be bringing her own “demo dog.”
